Andrew provided fast and efficient fire extinguisher servicing and replaced outdated fire safety products in our office, and at a lower charge than we have paid previously.

If you need to source a part for your trusty steed Neil has an incredible wealth of knowledge. I have had a few wheels ‘Built By Neil’ (they get a sticker with this wording) over the years, they are all still going strong. Please note that George Halls is in an old building with a lot of character, this makes it easy to overlook that there are two upstairs showrooms which are full of bikes. Thanks for all the great service over the years – keep up the good work Neil and Co.

It’s perhaps not the first place you’d probably think of for greeting cards, the carefully selected range mean that I can be sure it’s the only greeting card shop I will need to visit when I am looking for something nice.

If you like Sourdough you have to try some from here, it is the best. Top marks for the waxed paper bag/packaging – looks great, helps keeps the bread fresh and plastic free 🙂

Really lovely Chinese food, sooo fresh and tasty … perhaps a bit too nice (I am a little addicted). Great staff, so friendly and helpful . Being on Abbey Street you can place your order, and wonder over to the Mercado Lounge or Toro Latino for 20 minutes of refreshment before collecting your food.

This is a really different tourist attraction and right on our doorstep. Just 15mins from Harborough it’s ideal if you want a different way to spend a morning or afternoon and regardless of the weather.

Our son and daughter (5 and 8) both equally loved it, and for a smallish museum there is plenty to see.

Where else can you find a cafe where you can enjoy a hot chocolate while watching tanks and military vehicles on manoeuvres ?

Our daughter was delighted to hear she is old enough to have a drive in a tank, so looks like we’ll be going back!

James helped us on a range of projects, he is reliable and conscientious, likes to do things the right way. He sourced and fitted a new timber front door and made good the twisted door frame. He also fitted a balustrade and newell post into our loft room which required some very accurate joinery work – the result was absolutely spot – on. Thanks James

Fantastic shop, a real Aladdin’s cave, if you can’t see what you’re looking for its highly likely Frank will find the item after a quick search in the store room. A shopping experience you’d have to travel a long way to find these days. A popular shop for so many reasons, its not an uncommon sight to see customers queueing outside.

Beautiful shop and what a lot of choice! Definitely worth a visit if you are looking to treat your kitchen or someone else’s.
