Profile
Inicio offers exclusive private tuition in Market Harborough town centre.
We know that not all young minds think alike, so our approach is different to typical tutoring. We inspire a new attitude to learning in a unique, stimulating and independent learning environment.
Based in the heart of Market Harborough, we offer tailored private tuition in a wide range of subjects including English, maths and science.
Our relaxed yet passionate approach to learning means that your child will achieve more than you imagined was possible.
“My early experiences as a tutor helped us to realise that traditional tutoring wasn’t ideal for inspiring confident learning.
So we created INICIO to make learning fun, positive and interesting. Instead of tutoring at a kitchen table, we bring students together in our own homely learning environments.
Our approach is unique because your child feels relaxed alongside other students but is guaranteed one-to-one attention from their personal tutor.
Our tutors are talented, vibrant and engaging. We believe we get amazing results because our tutors connect with students on a personal level and give them the opportunity to learn independently.

maths isn’t my strong point and i now feel a lot more confident to tackle my exams thanks to INICIO. thank you! 🙂
You are so welcome, Tillie!
It was our pleasure 🙂
BEWARE the floating sessions, we learned recently they expire after 3 months. Yet there is no system in place to warn you that they are expiring. Am currently out of pocket £120 (3 sessions) and very unhappy!
I have used INICIO for my daughter for the past couple of years, firstly for Spanish and then for science. My daughter really enjoyed the Spanish and it has enabled her to attend the GCSE class at school which she initially didn’t qualify for at school. The science was less successful as it followed a different programme to what she was doing at school, so we have had to get a private tutor instead.
Hi Nicola,
As this is the outlier to all other reviews, I read this and checked our system.
As always, we had advised of the 3 month expiry dates on catch up sessions (and offered alternatives every time C couldn’t attend), but you were also allowed to use all of your expired sessions anyway… I’m not sure if you perhaps wrote this review before checking with us?
Our sessions are always tailored to the exam board given to us so, unless we were misinformed, C will definitely have followed the correct programme 🙂
As this is the first we have heard of this, I checked our emails too. All I can see is gratitude and appreciation for the “excellent customer service” and accommodation of C’s awkward schedule. How puzzling that this review doesn’t match that correspondence.
Nonetheless, we hope that she is thriving in both Spanish and science 🙂
We have used Inicio in the past and always been really impressed, we used them again this year for some post lockdown catch up sessions for my youngest. The online sessions were brilliant, he moved to face to face and enjoyed them even more! Thanks so much for everything!
My daughter went to INICIO during the studies for her A-levels. All the tutors were amazing at helping to build her confidence and reassuring her that she knew a lot more than she sometimes thought. The feedback from the sessions was really comprehensive (better than some schools) and the flexibility to focus on the areas of the studies that she felt she needed the most. The result was a much more confident and happy student and a place at her first choice university. The whole approach was super professional, but warm and friendly too – the perfect balance. The improvements really paid off and she got into her first choice university. A massive thank you to the whole team.

I started out on level 4 (grade C) in Biology and after a year and a half of studying I passed my GCSE’s with a level 7 (grade A). I also studied Chemistry with Inicio for just under a year and went from a level 3 (grade D) to a level 6 (grade B). I had an amazing experience with Inicio and am looking forward going back for more to help out with my A-Levels. Best thing I ever did!! Cannot recommend enough!!!
My two sons have been supported through the patient work of the tutors at Iniceo. The quality of the regular feedback has always been high and the efforts made by Iniceo to focus on key areas in need of support has been very impressive. My youngest son in particular has been transformed from a student with English at risk of underperformance at GCSE, to a young man with English as his most successful subject. Both he and my elder son have developed stronger confidence and self esteem by regular attendance at the calm and professional Iniceo sessions. All my contacts with Charlotte and her team have been warm and professional with the interests of my two children front and foremost. I would recommend Iniceo to any other parent seeking focussed support for their child in need of the closer attention that large mainstream classes are not as able to provide.
My son has been doing Maths at Inicio for just over a year and he absolutely loves his time there with Vita. He has had a fascination with numbers since he was a baby and had quite strong Math skills before starting school. So when he started complaining that he was finding things difficult, we knew we had to do something about it. He was not behind in Maths at school but was not working at the level he was capable of and his teachers could also see this as he was quite advanced in some difficult areas. However, he was finding some sums, which were quite simple, difficult. We started him with Inicio so that he could have more one-to-one tuition and guidance, to help him develop in areas which he was finding difficult, rebuild his lost confidence in Maths and also to challenge him in areas in which he was already quite strong, but was not developing in school. He has excelled very quickly and his teachers have commented on how well he is now doing in areas in which he was struggling. We are very thankful to the team at Inicio for their amazing work with him, but also for providing him with such a lovely and friendly environment and making him feel at home. We have now started him on English and he is also enjoying that very much.
