Market Harborough Montessori Nursery

We offer an accredited Montessori education for children aged 6 months – 5 years, during term time, where children ‘learn through play’. We continue to be the only accredited Montessori nursery in the East Midlands, having been based in Market Harborough since our creation in the year 2000. Our staff continuously work to develop their own Montessori knowledge and teaching practice, so that together we can provide the best Montessori led education for children.

At our nursery we believe that all children should be given the opportunity to develop to their full potential in an environment that is prepared to meet the needs of all individuals both in the indoor and the outdoor environment. The classroom has been specially designed to be a ‘children’s house’, where everything in the classroom is at the child’s level to foster independence. We work in partnership with parents and carers to provide a safe, caring and enabling environment that supports the child’s development and fosters a love for learning within the child.

Our staff are well experienced in working with children. The majority of our team are qualified teachers, and the remainder are at least Level 3 childcare qualified or working towards it. Staff receive in house Montessori training throughout the year to ensure that we always keep the Montessori ethos at the forefront of our practice. To keep our children safe all staff receive regular first aid and safeguarding training and attend other early years conferences and workshops.
