The Market Harborough and The Bowdens Charity is one of the largest charities in the Market Harborough area.
It is an endowed charity, and holds investments in land and property, housing, equities and cash. Income from the Charity’s investments is used to provide public benefit in the following areas:
Arts
Education
Social Welfare
Relief in Need
Heritage
Amateur Sport
Environment
The Charity welcomes applications for grant assistance relating to projects in these areas, although grants can only be awarded to applicants from within the geographical boundaries of Market Harborough and the villages of Great Bowden and Little Bowden.
All applications must be made on the Charity’s application forms and the forms can be obtained from, (and then submitted to), the Steward or the Charity Secretary at the Charity Office. Forms can also be downloaded from our website.
The Old Grammar School. The charity manages the Old Grammar School which can be hired as a venue for events and functions, such as; meetings, wedding receptions, clubs and corporate functions etc.
Allotments. The charity manages Northampton Road and Stevens Street allotments
