Profile
Langton Brewery started at the back of the Bell Inn, East Langton in 1999. We only intended to supply the pub and the local cricket club over the road. However, people started to really enjoy drinking our beer especially after our head brewer came up with a little recipe called Inclined Plane.
So we decided to increase our production and that resulted in us moving to the idyllic Grange Farm at Thorpe Langton, Leicestershire in 2005 and that is where we are today.
But we haven’t stood still and following a rigorous brand review this year, involving many of the beer drinkers in the locality (and further afield), we decided to modernise our brand – whilst remaining loyal to our heritage and commitment to create the best quality handcrafted beer.
At Langton Brewery we have a direct influence and control over all the ingredients throughout the brewing process with minimal automation. Each day our brewers handle, smell and taste our raw ingredients. Our team are physically shifting and lifting all day. We want to be close to our process to influence it in all the right ways. Whether it’s cask, bottle can or keg. We strive to produce all our beer to a standard that we ourselves would be proud of.
We are a small independent business. No one else influences the beers we brew. We only craft beers we want to brew and like to drink and so far it seems, you do too.
We are supplying local outlets, pubs, restaurants, hotels and farm shops. You name it. We’ll get the beer there. But we do supply beer to the home so why not pop in or call us.
