There is a considerable network of foot, cycle and bridle paths leading directly from your lodge, including the Leicestershire Round, taking in a significant number of charming local villages, most of which also boast their own rural outlets.
Located in a large enclosed paddock at the rear of a working farm, West View Farm Lodges can accommodate 2/4 people in a double room plus loft/mezzanine area. They have a bathroom with basin, shower, toilet and heated towel rail, a fitted kitchen and an open plan living area. There is also a full width terrace area with seating, stunning rural views and your very own hot tub! Pets can be also accommodated by prior arrangement.
Stonton Wyville is a small village in the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It has a population of less than 30 people. The buildings include a church, a manor house, an old rectory and two farms, one of which used to be the Fox and Hounds Inn. In 1086, the Domesday book shows that Stonton Wyville was part of the estates of Hugh de Grandmesnil. Stonton was amongst a hundred manors that had been given to Hugh for his assistance in the Norman conquest of England. The ground rises from between 250 and 350 ft. near the river to about 450 ft. in the north of the parish and nearly 500 ft. on Langton Caudle in the south.
