Medbourne Cricket Club

Medbourne Cricket Club was founded in 1896 and has a long heritage of playing both friendly and competitive cricket. 

With a thriving Junior section comprising over 100 members and Seniors teams, Medbourne are going from strength to strength.The Club achieved Clubmark recognition in 2009, with successful renewals since. 

Coaching for all members is on Saturday mornings from mid April to end of August.  Typical attendances of up to 100 are testament to our popularity. Junior teams play in the Leicestershire Youth League and Higham & District League, regularly reaching and winning County cups and Leagues.  We also run  a team for those who ‘just want to play’. 

Seniors play in Division 4 East of the Rutland League on a Sunday; Division 4 East of the Leicestershire & Rutland League on Saturday and in the Market Harborough Evening League on weeknights.

During the winter, we have indoor cricket coaching at Kibworth School, please contact us for further information.  Sessions are grouped on ability.  These sessions are open to players from all local teams however of course we would like you to join us.   

Medbourne believe in ‘cricket for all’ and fully subscribe to our equity in sport policy.

Like all clubs, we rely on our membership fees, grants and donations from our sponsors in order to function. 

We are part of the Medbourne Sports Club, which includes football, tennis, bowls and skittles.
