Phase Eight began in London in 1979, founded by Patsy Seddon. At the time, she struggled to find clothing that was practical, fashionable and affordable while still feeling sophisticated. As a result, she started designing her own pieces and eventually opened the first boutique on Wandsworth Common.
Since then, Phase Eight has grown into a design-led brand known for its personal shopping experience. We offer beautiful and accessible fashion for everyday wear, work and special occasions. Our originality remains central to everything we do -exclusive designs, quality fabrics and distinctive prints continue to define the brand.
Our daywear range features feminine and colourful styles in a variety of patterns and fabrics. The pieces blend chic workwear with relaxed, off-duty options, creating looks that are both elegant and comfortable.
Moreover, our occasion wear collections combine luxurious fabrics, refined textures and flattering silhouettes. These pieces are contemporary, sophisticated and perfect for any event.
In addition, Collection 8 represents our premium, limited-edition eveningwear. Dramatic shapes, detailed embellishment and shimmering sequins create a striking edit inspired by red-carpet glamour.
Our 8 Bridal line offers a fresh take on vintage-inspired bridal wear. Contemporary fabrics and soft, ethereal detailing come together to create clean, elegant silhouettes. Each dress is expertly tailored with high-end finishing.
Finally, following high customer demand, Studio 8 was launched exclusively for women size 12–26. This collection focuses on premium fabrics, bespoke prints and flattering shapes for every occasion.

” Overall Excellent Service with repeat visits ”
My last visits were the previous weekend gone (both days!) Popped in the first time with the girlfriends hoping to find something flattering for the autumnal season (fingers crossed) Both days were approached by wonderful staff members who not only directed us to the correct bays, but also helped us outfit select and asked if we would like to try on. ( Beth and Maddie if i Remember) I eventually chose a gorgeous 70’s style dress with a beutiful plum/cadbury knitwear peice. I was amazed by the ease and proffesionalism of most of the staff in store and regarded the visits as two of my most succesful. Always have had postive experiences which have differed slightly from friends on account of the previous manager. Good to see Phase Eight being receptive to decisions that affect their buisness negativley and work on drviing service! Thank you both xxx
