Profile
edibLE16 is Leicestershire’s first Food Hub. It offers a click and collect service for people living in and around Market Harborough to order food and drink grown and produced locally. Most of the items on offer originate within 16 miles of the town. You can buy all sorts of lovely local produce – eggs, milk, yogurt, honey, bread, meat, vegetables, beer, wine and cider, and lots more. Simply visit the website www.edible16.org.uk and start shopping!
We operate a weekly click and collect shopping cycle – make your order by midnight on Wednesday, and then collect it from The Admiral Nelson Pub, Nelson St, Market Harborough on Saturday morning.
The development and launch of edibLE16 has been a project run as part of the Sustainable Harborough Challenge, which in turn developed from Transition Town Market Harborough. edibLE16 Ltd is now a company in its own right. It is a not for private profit social enterprise which aims to support local farmers and producers, and give local residents easy access to good quality local produce.
Please do get in touch via the website www.edible16.org.uk if you would like to know more, or if you would like to get involved in the project. We are always looking for volunteers to help in running and steering the business.
