Help in Times of Trouble
Life can be unpredictable, and the Charity understands that unexpected challenges can hit us all. The Charity provides essential assistance for individuals and families facing financial crises through dedicated hardship grants.
Allotments: Spaces to Grow
The Charity manages two allotment fields, and these green havens offer residents the chance to grow their produce, make friends, and enjoy the therapeutic and health benefits of gardening and being outdoors.
Promoting the Arts
The arts have a unique power to inspire and unite. The Charity supports local arts projects and musical events and has collaborated with Creative Harborough so that musicians can busk the Old Grammar School free of charge, bringing music into the town centre.
Keeping Heritage Alive
Market Harborough is steeped in rich history, and preserving this heritage is vital. The Charity are proud custodians of the Old Grammar School, arguably the town’s most famous historical icon, and sponsored the publication of a local history of the town.
Educational Grants: Investing in Our Future
Education opens doors and transforms lives. Recognising its impact, the Charity provides financial support for higher education, vocational training, or essential learning resources.
A Community Hub
In 2024 the Charity tried to buy Roman Way Community Centre in order to create a community hub. The bid was unsuccessful, but the Charity is determined to succeed in its aim. A Community Hub would bring together local charities and voluntary groups, with spaces for hire and positive collaboration between everyone…. Watch this space!
The Environment!
The Charity is also exploring the possibility of creating a publicly accessible nature reserve on its land… Watch this space!
