Guided tours of Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill

Join the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) for a guided tour of this fascinating windmill, not normally open to the public, which we have repaired and rescued from the Heritage at Risk Register.

Enjoy a guided tour of the last surviving post mill in Leicestershire, now cared for by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) and its Mills Section.

Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill was in a sorry state, but thankfully a generous grant enabled us to bring it back to its former glory over the past few years.

On your visit, you’ll learn all about the fascinating history of the mill, see its historic machinery, and spot the mysterious ancient graffiti and protection marks that daub its interior.

This Grade II* listed windmill and Scheduled Ancient Monument is rarely open to the public other than for National Mills Weekend in May and Heritage Open Days in September, so don’t miss out!
