Profile
Sulby Barns – 2 small boutique converted, carbon neutral cattle barns (Pitcher’s Bard and Tanser’s Barn) finished to high standards creating a quiet getaway from busy life. With the added relaxation in the Japanese style two-person hot tubs.
Situated on the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire border just outside the village of Welford which is on one of the main historic coaching routes. With local pub which is at the end of the Welford Arm of the Grand Union Canal, also a village shop and an abundance of countryside walks.
Park Farm is a long-standing family farm located in the heart of England, on the border between Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. The 240-acre Farm Estate is split in two by the Sulby Reservoir which is used as a water supply for part of the Grand Union Canal. To diversify the farm business, we wanted to create and share this beautiful landscape with others. We decided to convert two redundant cattle barns into boutique Carbon Neutral accommodation with Hot Tubs for a relaxing escape to the country.
As a working farm, our land is split between arable and grazing, providing rich pastures to rear livestock and fertile fields to grow crops. Crops grown on the farm are Wheat for Bread or Biscuit making, Malting Barley for Beer, Oats for Porridge, Granola or Milk
At Park Farm we are a part of Natural England’s Mid-Tier Countryside Stewardship scheme, where we endeavour to improve the landscape and provide more for this lovely natural environment through the planting of pollen, nectar, bird feed and bumble bird plots on the arable land, to encourage and sustain our native wildlife. To help the little birds survive the winter we also provide additional bird feed.
