If you want a truly magical experience then come to Welford Christmas Tree Farm. They are on the border of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire – just 13 minutes from Market Harborough – and we are a family run working farm and have been growing trees for over 20 years.
Our trees have won multiple awards at the prestigious annual British Christmas Tree Growers Association (BCTGA) Awards – the equivalent of the BAFTAS. We’ve also won ‘Champion Wreath’ at the same awards where their handmade wreath adorned the Prime Ministers front door at No. 10 Downing Street on 3 separate occasions.
We have a wonderful festive shop crammed with gorgeous decorations, fresh handmade wreaths, garlands, lighting, mistletoe and gift ideas on display. You can even have a glass of complimentary mulled wine and a yummy mince pie to help get you in the festive mood.
Say hello to the Reindeer & friendly farm animals
Our farm animals are always a hit with children (and adults too). They have calves, goats, pigs and turkeys plus on special dates some of Santa’s Magical Reindeer staying with them. You can even feed them some Magic Moss!
Santa’s magical charity grotto Father Christmas will be at the farm on special dates and all profits raised go to the ‘Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Leicestershire’ a charity very close to their hearts.
Children’s art & craft area
There is also a very popular Arts & Craft area for the children to get all creative and Christmassy while you sip on your mulled wine. They can make cards, write a letter to Santa and they can even go on an Elf Hunt around the farm.
Pop-up Tipi Café
Plus, this year they have their very own Tipi where you can sit and relax in the warm and buy a hot drink and a yummy cake whilst toasting marshmallows.
It is the perfect place to spend a few hours finding your perfect tree. It is where Christmas starts and family traditions are born.
